Hi! I’m Birdie. I currently live in Tennessee with my husband, two labs named Hank and Finn, and lazy cat named Shadow. Coffee addict. Night owl. Music lover.

Reading has always been my favorite hobby. Growing up, I was the kid that never had a “thing.” I wasn't athletic. I quit ballet because they wouldn’t teach me how to twirl on the first day and even dabbled in theatre for a few productions, but ultimately nothing stuck. Except for reading. There were always books… *sighs lovingly*

Now, writing? Writing came a little later and in the form of apology letters to my mother when I was on the brink of being a moody teenager who acted out because she had too many feelings to know what to do with. After puberty hit, my writing morphed into emo poetry, wannabe song lyrics for my imaginary band, and journal entries venting about high school drama and first love heartbreaks.

If reading was my escape, then writing was my salvation.

So even though I am in the middle of working on my debut novel and figuring out this whole author thing, I can confidently say my stories will always include beautifully flawed characters, messy and raw emotions, and diverse lenses of what love can look like. Did I mention I’m an enneagram type-4 pisces and empath? Feelings are kind’ve my thing and I truly love the magic an author can wield in making their readers feel what their characters are feeling.
